We are happy to provide you with a Preliminary Estimate for free. For a more accurate quote based on a proper design (the next stage) Shine Energy will need to do a bit of work up front. Questions of building heat/loss calculations, soil types, available land space, number of residents, etc. will all effect the design of your geothermal system.

The design is the most important part.

Once a system has been installed in the ground, it is difficult (though not impossible) to change. So whoever you use for your geothermal systems, make sure they spend adequate time on proper system design.

We will supply you with a written proposal that will contain at least the following information:

• Cost and details of equipment or materials to be used
• Cost of labour
• Total cost, including taxes and permit fees
• Expected payment schedule
• Estimated start and completion dates
• Verification that we carry liability insurance and Workers Compensation coverage
• Details of warranties or guarantees
• Details of site cleanup both during & after the project
• Details of the homeowner’s responsibilities
• A commitment to instruct the owners on the operation and maintenance of any equipment, and provide any required operation manuals
• Verification that your geothermal system will be designed and installed in accordance with all applicable CSA Standards and provincial and municipal regulations.
