Preliminary Estimates

Residential Cost: Free
Commercial/Industrial (Feasibility Study): By Quote

This is our most common request from clients. These are rough estimates in that we're guessing on your homes requirements based on our discussions with you (often over the phone) and our experience. From this, if all parties wish to proceed, a deposit is made and we design a system and compare it with our preliminary estimate.

Full Service Design and Installation

Residential, Commercial, and Industrial Cost: By Quote

This is where we design a geothermal system for your requirements and coordinate the installation (retrofit or new construction). Basically, you just walk in to your place and turn on the thermostat.

There are some variations in that we often coordinate our work with existing contractors already involved in construction. This can include labourers, excavators, electricians, plumbers, sheet metal workers, and so forth.

Building Energy Assessment

Residential Cost: Approximately $400
Commercial and Industrial Cost: By Quote

Step 1 of any design is to figure out the energy required by a building for heating and cooling. Shine Energy Systems can use existing plans or grab our tape and measure an existing building to determine the following:

heat loss/heat gain of the building
kwh of equipment runtime including supplemental heat durations
operations costs of geothermal equipment and comparison with conventional systems such as propane, gas, oil, and electric
C02 emissions of geothermal system and comparison with conventional systems and fuels

Geothermal System Design

Residential Cost: Approximately $1000
Commercial and Industrial Cost: By Quote

The complete geothermal design includes the Building Energy Assessment along with your geothermal system design:

heat pump sizing and comparison for best system fit
pipe sizing and ground loop layout
pump sizing
antifreeze selection

The geothermal system design is part of all of our design/builds. Often we design for remote sites and work with existing installers, so we may only be involved with the design in those cases.

Cost: $60hr + Mileage

We have helped system owners with existing geothermal systems to sort out issues and optimize their geothermal systems.
